Grant Guidelines: SEE Fund – Sustaining Educational Excellence

The SEE Fund is an endowment fund whose mission is to sustain educational excellence by providing financial support for superior educational initiatives at Mt. Greylock Regional School. The fund seeks to support the school’s efforts to:

Eligibility

Grants from the Fund will not replace public dollars for the school district. The fund seeks primarily to help cover the direct costs of projects (not salaries). Priority will be given to proposals that rely on volunteer efforts and that show additional means of support.

We seek proposals from visionary students, teachers, administrators, parents and members of the community. The proposals should seek to either increase or sustain educational excellence while supporting the mission and core values of Mount Greylock.

Possible projects include, but are not limited to: independent study; new programs; extracurricular activities; individual creative projects, in or outside the classroom; visiting speakers; artists-in-residence; professional development for teachers; scientific, athletic, or technical equipment; library resources, and class field trips.

Grants awarded will generally range from $100 to $2,500 although requests for larger amounts will be considered. Grants may be contingent on matching funds from other sources if this will help the proposed initiative succeed. Multiple year funding will be considered, where appropriate.

Berkshire Taconic does not support organizations that, in their constitution, by-laws, or practice, discriminate against a person or group on the basis of age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation or religious belief.
