May 1 Deadline for Hardman Fund
April 6, 2010
GREAT BARRINGTON, MA—Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation announced that May 1 is the deadline for grant applications to the James and Robert Hardman Fund for North Adams. The Fund supports nonprofit groups, community organizations and public agencies that enrich the lives of residents of North Adams and the neighboring communities of Florida and Clarksburg, MA., and Stamford, Vt.
The James and Robert Hardman Fund for North Adams was established in 2000 in honor of James A. Hardman, Jr. (1909-1990) and Robert Hardman (1911-1978) by members of the Hardman family. Applicants may request grants of up to $2,000 for projects and programs relating to the arts, culture, historic preservation, health, human and social services, education and the environment. In recognition of the impact of the current economic challenges, the Fund encourages applications this year from nonprofit agencies to support programs that are critical to sustaining the community in difficult times. Applications are available online here or by calling 413.528.8039.
Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation builds stronger communities and improves the quality of life for all residents of Berkshire County, MA; Columbia County and northeast Dutchess County, NY; and northwest Litchfield County, CT.
