Our Funds

Northeast Dutchess Fund (NED)

Berkshire Taconic formed the Northeast Dutchess (NED) Fund in 2002 to improve the quality of life in Amenia, Clinton Corners, Dover Plains, Millbrook, Millerton, North East, Pine Plains, Stanford, Washington, Wassaic, Wingdale and their hamlets. Grants have been awarded on an annual basis to libraries, community centers, school districts, women shelters and child care programs across the region.

In 2007, NED created NED CORPS, with a support of a single donor, a program that provides two bilingual case workers who travel to meet with clients in Amenia, Clinton Corners, Millbrook, Millerton, Pine Plains and Stanford. The case workers connect clients with social services that provide health insurance for children, translation assistance, emergency relief, free prescription drugs, food, shelter, mental health programs and other services.
