Our Funds

Welcome

Berkshire Taconic houses many types of funds, all supported by individuals, families, communities and organizations with philanthropic ideals.

Each of these funds makes a difference in the lives of many and helps build stronger communities in the Berkshire Taconic region. Some funds address the big picture. Others focus on the details. Whatever your charitable vision and financial goals, we can help you find the right fund to achieve them.

Donor advisors play an active role in making grants to organizations they care about here in the Berkshire Taconic region or elsewhere in the United States.

Field of Interest Funds

Field of interest funds support specific causes: the arts, education, the environment, health and human services and youth development.

Scholarships benefit students attending a particular school, studying a particular subject or living in a certain geographic area.

Neighbor–to–Neighbor Fund (N2N)

The Neighbor–to–Neighbor Fund helps individuals and families who face serious economic challenges by offering on–time grants to cover past due utility bills, assist with rent payments or medical emergencies.

Legacy Funds

Members of our Legacy Circle are donors who have made a commitment to include Berkshire Taconic in their will.

Nonprofit Funds

Berkshire Taconic houses funds for nonprofit groups, allowing them access to professional money managers and services that might otherwise not be available to them.

Endowment for the Foundation

The Endowment supports leadership initiatives throughout the region.

Community Initiatives

For a limited number of community initatives, we serve as a fiscal sponsor, a sort of incubator, helping them grow and mature into nonprofit organizations by providing them 501(c)(3) status and processing gifts, grants and disbursements on their behalf.
