You can sustain the quality of life in a beloved town or region.
Do you love where you live? Many of us feel strong ties to a town or community that we would like to support. If you feel this way, you may want to contribute to one of our Area Funds.
What Do the Area Funds Support?
One of BTCF’s major initiatives over the last decade has been to establish Area Funds throughout our entire region. Our Area Funds are permanently endowed and cover a specific, local geographic sector of the tri-state area we serve. The funds support nonprofit programs and services in the arts, education, health, human services and the environment.
Each Area Fund is led by an advisory committee of area residents who have a deep understanding of local needs and the nonprofits that address them. These committee members oversee fundraising, review applications based on published criteria and award grants annually with support and guidance from BTCF.
How Can I Give to an Area Fund?
Gifts to the Area Funds come in all forms. Cash, appreciated securities, real estate or other tangible personal property will be gratefully accepted to build the capacity of BTCF’s Area Funds. Learn more about what you can give.
Area Funds are designed to be a permanent resource for your community, so you may want to consider making a bequest, setting up a charitable trust or naming an Area Fund as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan. We can help you achieve your charitable giving goals and receive the maximum tax deduction allowed by law.
