May 15 Deadline for Crane Scholarships

GREAT BARRINGTON, MA—Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation announced today that May 15 is the deadline for the Zenas Crane Fund for Student Aid and the Winthrop Crane Fund for Graduate Student Aid. Both scholarships were established by the Crane family to support the higher education of worthy students residing in Dalton and neighboring towns.

The Zenas Crane Fund for Student Aid is available to graduates of Wahconah Regional High School or a vocational-technical program of a public high school who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university. Scholarships are available to high school seniors or students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.

The Winthrop Crane Fund for Graduate Student Aid is available to graduates of Wahconah Regional High School or a vocational-technical program of a public high school who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in post graduate studies at an accredited college or university for post-graduate studies.

A committee of area residents who are active in community affairs will review applications based on the combined criteria of financial need, the student’s efforts and ambitions to achieve his/her academic and life goals, and academic achievement. Applications are available here or by calling Berkshire Taconic at 413.538.8039. Completed applications must be received at Berkshire Taconic by 5 p.m. on May 15.
