"Stronger Futures" Capacity Building Program

Starting in 2008, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence is offering a two-year program in capacity building led by the national consulting firm TCC Group. Eight local nonprofit groups were selected through a competitive process to participate.

The program offers detailed self-assessment of operations and governance, one-on-one contact with the consultants to develop a capacity plan, coaching and three intensive training sessions each year.

Stronger Futures is free for participants. Eight participants receive underwriting through individual donors to Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation and five of its Area Funds: the James and Robert Hardman Fund (MA); William J. & Margery S. Barrett Fund for Adams, Cheshire and Savoy (MA); Central Berkshire Fund (MA); Fund for Columbia County (NY); and Northwest Corner Fund (CT). In addition, United Way of Berkshire County is underwriting the participation of two partner agencies.
