Are You Ready for the New Form 990?
What Nonprofits Need to Know About Changes in Tax Filing for 2008

A must-attend for managers and staff members responsible for accounting, financial reporting and preparation of tax returns for their nonprofit organizations.

The IRS has enacted the first significant revision of form 990 since 1979. The new form is designed to increase transparency by making more operational information available to the public. Changes include:

  • New summary page and governance section
  • Expanded disclosure regarding compensation, conflict of interest, payments to independent contractors
  • New reporting for non-cash contributions
  • 16 schedules
  • Berkshire Taconic invites you to learn everything you need to know about the new form 990 from Kelly Shipp Simone, senior staff attorney for the Council on Foundations. Ms. Simone will offer her insight and expertise and answer your questions about the changes ahead and how they will affect your nonprofit organization.
