Over the past 25 years, the Fund for Columbia County (FCC) has become a a catalyst for bold, community-driven investment in the county’s future. Guided by a committee of local residents with expertise across diverse impact areas, FCC’s equitable grantmaking strategically addresses both urgent needs and long-term growth.

FCC’s annual grant programs strengthen the county's nonprofit partners—whether they’re emerging organizations, creatively filling service gaps or established nonprofits expanding their reach. Additionally, FCC's Neighbor-to-Neighbor program provides emergency funding to individuals and families in economic distress across the county through four partner agencies.

FCC invests in lasting, transformational programs that will strengthen the community for all generations, ensuring everyone—from our youngest residents preparing for kindergarten, to adults launching or relaunching their careers, to elders seeking connection and support—can access opportunities and live a healthy, fulfilling life.

Columbia County has a burgeoning community of nonprofits who work diligently to uplift residents, yet there is so much more potential. FCC helps cultivate opportunities for nonprofits to grow into their next phase of success, whether it is a new nonprofit starting up, or an established nonprofit expanding and sustaing their mission.

Grants for New Nonprofits

By offering early-stage funding, FCC helps new organizations cover start-up costs like legal fees, equipment, and websites. These grants help propel growth and ensure emerging nonprofits can establish themselves and provide needed services across the county.

Planning and Technical Assistance Grants

Planning and Technical Assistance grants are essential to building a more resilient nonprofit sector in Columbia County. These grants fund strategic planning, board development, or technology improvements. Such investments help growing organizations fortify and established nonprofits expand to drive lasting change.

Community Impact Grants

Community Impact grants empower nonprofits to bring their innovative ideas to life. By supporting projects in community engagement, education, health and social services, and accessibility to arts and culture, FCC enables organizations to address the diverse needs of all residents and strengthen our collective well-being.

General Operating Support Grants

This flexible funding for established nonprofits secures the resources to do what they do best. As part of a commitment to trust-based philanthropy and advancing equity, these grants mark a significant step forward in supporting the long-term sustainability of vital community services

We need your help to build up Columbia County's nonprofit infrastructure and uplift every resident.

Together, we can make life in Columbia County even better.
