The Northeast Dutchess Fund’s 2024 responsive grantmaking awarded $254,350 to 28 local nonprofits with a focus on community engagement, food security, youth enrichment, housing, immigrant services, and transportation. This flexible, responsive grantmaking channels funds directly to areas of greatest need, based on feedback from residents and the organizations that support them.

In addition to the responsive grants, the Northeast Dutchess Fund directed $30,000 to BTCF’s Neighbor-to-Neighbor Fund for emergency financial assistance and a combined $19,000 to Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue and the Wassaic Project for organizational capacity building.

The NEDCorps Immigrant Support grant program is an essential component of NEDCorps, a 17-year initiative of the Northeast Dutchess Fund which serves low-income individuals, families, immigrants, and youth in northeast Dutchess county. NEDCorps provides funding and opportunities for clients to connect with community resources to ensure their basic needs are met, and to help them achieve greater resiliency in difficult times. In 2024, NEDCorps completed its fourth year of Immigrant Support Grants and awarded a total of $62,000, with the Northeast Dutchess Fund contributing $22,000 of the funding. Moreover, NEDCorps allocated an additional $60,000 to help clients secure stable housing. By working closely with landlords, case managers advocate for tenants' rights, helping them secure annual leases and more sustainable living conditions. Additional 2024 grant funding will be announced early in the new year.
