Can you share an overview of your role at BTCF?

As the Senior Staff Accountant at Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, I help keep the financial side of the organization running smoothly so we can support the important work happening in our communities. My role includes fund accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and helping prepare for audits. While much of my work happens behind the scenes, it's rewarding to know that my work helps support the mission of BTCF and the communities we serve.

What brought you to BTCF?

I grew up in the Northwest Corner of Connecticut, where strong community connections are part of everyday life. Because of that, the work BTCF does has always felt personal to me. I joined the foundation right out of college and was excited by the opportunity to give back to the communities that helped shape who I am while building my career. In my role, I get to see firsthand how philanthropy supports our region, and I'm fortunate to work alongside colleagues who continue to expand my understanding of finance, investments, accounting, and philanthropy. Working at BTCF has made accounting about more than just numbers.

What interests do you have outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my niece and nephews. I have a strong appreciation for agriculture, our local farms, and the small-town communities that make this region unique. It's those local connections and sense of community that make this area so special.
