In a community with so many resources, no one should have to worry about having enough to eat. Yet for many of our neighbors, that is the reality today. The federal government shutdown and significant delays and reductions in SNAP benefits this November are placing real strain on families across our region. Local food pantries and hunger relief organizations are lifelines, and they need support.
If you are able, please consider a gift to a food pantry or food bank in your community. Food donations are always welcome, but many hunger relief organizations can stretch monetary donations further through their purchasing power. Even a modest contribution can make a real difference for a family in need.
