Graduating seniors of Ichabod Crane High School who will be entering their first year of a two-year or four-year nationally accredited college or university with a passion for sports and a particular interest in the field of health or science.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Dr. Jacome spent his life helping others, especially his patients and their families. But he also possessed a deep passion for learning and for playing sports. He believed that both could help one achieve their dreams. This belief led him to share his gift and his love of teaching as a chief resident, as a catechist, and as an assistant basketball coach. The Jacome family hopes that this scholarship will help an Ichabod Crane student with a passion for sports and an interest in health or science reach their goals. The Dr. Luis A. Jacome Scholarship has been established in memory of Dr. Jacome by his family. The Fund was established in 2009 to honor his memory and to provide an annual scholarship to an Ichabod Crane High School scholar athlete who will pursue a college degree in health or science.
