Community Engagement Officer, Equity & Inclusion
Alÿcia joined our team in October 2023 as our Community Engagement Officer for Equity & Inclusion. Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, Alÿcia journeyed to the Capital Region at 21, later earning her Bachelor's in Philosophy and Theatre, and a Master's in Africana Studies from UAlbany. Deeply influenced by her studies and heritage, she's fervently dedicated to climate change solutions and civil rights advocacy. Her commitment extends beyond personal conviction, encompassing a broader love for her community and a strong sense of duty. With roles at Mothers Out Front, the Adirondack Council, and board positions at the League of Women Voters Albany County and Citizen Action NY, Alÿcia combines her academic background and leadership experiences, aspiring to further the mission of the Equity Initiative at Berkshire Taconic.
