Daniel S. Sternberg counseled U.S. and international clients on corporate issues and transactions over his 30-year career as a corporate lawyer. He was a partner of the international law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP for 23 years. During his career, Daniel was recognized as a leading merger and acquisitions and corporate governance lawyer by, among others, Chambers USA, the International Who's Who of Business Lawyers and Who's Who of Corporate Governance Lawyers. He was a longtime member and is the former chairman of the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Control Contests. Daniel is a director and past chairman of the board of the Wassaic Project in Wassaic, N.Y., and is a member of the advisory board of the North East Community Center in Millerton, N.Y. He also serves on the advisory board of the Ali Forney Center, where he previously served as a director. Daniel holds a J.D. degree from Columbia Law School, and he received his bachelor’s degree from Yale University. He lives in the town of North East, N.Y.
