Community Engagement Officer for Education and Scholarships
Eric Jette joined Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation in April 2024. With over 20 years of experience in education, including assessment and evaluation, experiential learning, accreditation, and compliance, Eric has developed a particular interest in efforts to provide more equitable access to education, job training, and job opportunities.
Prior to joining Berkshire Taconic, he worked as a Project Manager in the Compliance and Accreditation department at Western Governors University where he supported the accreditation of innovative models of higher education designed to be more accessible and affordable to traditionally underserved populations.
Prior to that role, Eric worked at Mount Holyoke College managing the day-to-day operations of the college's internship programs. This included the Lynk internship funding program, which provides hundreds of students each year with donor-supported funding for summer internships, research projects, and other experiential learning opportunities, enabling them to explore their interests and gain work experience.
Born and raised in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Eric returned to the Berkshires in summer 2023 to be closer to his family after living in the Pioneer Valley for over 20 years, and is enjoying rediscovering the cultural venues and natural beauty of the region. Eric holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Skidmore College and an M.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder.
