Program Assistant
Katherine Luscomb joined Berkshire Taconic as the Program Assistant in 2025. In this role, she supports the Program department in grant and scholarship processing, committee administration, reporting and database maintenance, and more. This work continues her career-long dedication to strengthening communities and improving opportunities and outcomes for individuals and families who have been underserved and marginalized.
Before returning to her home state of Massachusetts in 2021, Katherine worked to improve the public education system in New Orleans. She began as a classroom teacher and then pursued her passion for education policy by serving in the Louisiana Department of Education’s New Orleans office and the New Orleans public school district central office. She has also worked at several nonprofits in New Orleans and Boston in a variety of functions, including operations, project management, data analysis, and communications. She holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Government and Economics from the University of Virginia.
As a resident of the Berkshires, Katherine enjoys being involved in the vibrant arts community there. She is passionate about both experiencing and creating art, especially collage and mixed media. She also serves as a facilitator with the women’s nonprofit Walking Our Talk. She is an avid reader, a keen baker, and an animal lover.
