Community Engagement Officer, Columbia & Berkshire Counties
Leila joined Berkshire Taconic in 2024 as the Community Engagement Officer for Berkshire and Columbia counties. Having called both counties home, she is excited to support the non-profits that strengthen this region.
Leila is passionate about the healing power of nature and community and has volunteered in several therapeutic intentional communities including Gould Farm in Monterey, Mass., Camphill Village in Copake, NY, and further afield from Asheville to South Africa. Broadening her exploration of community building, Leila is a facilitator with Walking our Talk and serves with Columbia County Recovery Kitchen.
Leila brings over eight years of professional experience in non-profit marketing, recruitment, and development, and previously worked in special education. She graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in psychology and education.
