Over the past 30 years, Nicky has led and grown both public and private foundations focused on advancing equity and opportunity. She brings deep expertise in major donor strategy, resource mobilization, and executive leadership.
Nicky most recently served as CEO of the Foundation for a Just Society (FJS) in New York City, where she oversaw an increase in annual grantmaking from $17 million to $62 million over eight years. FJS is a domestic and global funder focused on advancing the rights and well-being of women, girls, and LGBTQ people and promoting equity for those facing gender and racial discrimination. Prior to FJS, she served for a decade as Executive Director at the Netherlands-based Mama Cash, the world's oldest international fund focused on gender equity. She also oversaw development and communications for 10 years at the Global Fund for Women. She holds a Bachelor's degree in French & History from Oxford University and a Master's degree in Urban Affairs and Urban Planning from Hunter College, City University of New York.
Nicky now calls Columbia County home. She is eager to deepen her roots in the BTCF region and her relationships with BTCF's partners, individual donors, and institutional funders.
