Dalila Madison Almquist

Can you share an overview of your role at BTCF?
In my role as Executive Assistant, I support Kara Mikulich, our foundation president. I handle communications from her office, manage her calendar and records, and help plan meetings, so that she can focus on strategy and community impact. Also, this year, I am working with our strategic planning consultants to guide our staff and board in developing our foundation's next plan.
What brought you to BTCF?
BTCF's commitment to grantmaking alongside community members and people with lived experience brought me here. BTCF's investment in arts, agriculture, food access, guaranteed income, immigrant support, local leaders of color, and all the ways we support quality of life for all people in the area keeps me here.
What interests do you have outside of work?
I'm a budding soil nerd! At our homestead, we build soil health with homemade mixes using microbes from our woods. I also enjoy tending to, sharing, and eating the nourishing food that grows.
What is your favorite local place to visit?
Community dinners at The Solidarity Meeting House at Multicultural BRIDGE are always delicious. Closer to my home in the Hilltowns, I like karaoke at Sena Farm Brewery and performances at Double Edge Theater.
