As Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation continues to grow in reach and impact, we are investing in our most important asset—our people. To support this commitment, we have created a new leadership role: Director of People & Culture. This position reflects our deepening focus on fostering a workplace where inclusion, equity, and organizational wellness are at the center of how we work and grow together.
We’re thrilled to welcome Nicole Kappes-Levine as the inaugural Director of People & Culture. Nicole brings more than 16 years of experience in organizational leadership, education, and human resources, with a strong foundation in social justice and equity. Her career has spanned nonprofit youth empowerment, public education, and DEI-focused leadership, including roles as a school counseling administrator and Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
In her new role at BTCF, Nicole will lead efforts to nurture an inclusive and engaging employee experience, manage all aspects of human resources, and guide strategic planning around staff development, equity, and culture-building. As a member of our senior leadership team, she will help shape the future of BTCF's internal strength and capacity, ensuring our workplace reflects the same values we seek to advance in our communities.
