Note: “Adults/Non-Traditional Students” refers to anyone who is not currently a secondary school student, primarily high school graduates or those who have earned a High School Equivalency (HSE) credential prior to the current year. This includes people currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college or university, vocational/technical/trade school, apprenticeship, or professional training program, as well as people who neither completed high school nor earned an HSE.

If you are an adult learner, please review the list of scholarships below to ensure that you are eligible for at least one scholarship before completing the Scholarship Application for Adult Learners. Most of them are also available to high school seniors unless indicated with an asterisk.

Andrea Wagner Women in Science Scholarship Fund* 
Female residents of the Berkshire Taconic region (Berkshire County, Mass., Columbia County and northeast Dutchess County, NY, and northwest Litchfield County, Conn.) who are currently enrolled as a freshman, sophomore, or junior at a four-year college with a 3.3 minimum GPA and majoring in math, chemistry, physics, engineering, or biology. 

Antonio and Antoinette Pieropan Scholarship 
For students 21 or younger who have graduated high school or received a GED (i.e., a High School Equivalency credential) who have lived in Stockbridge or West Stockbridge, Mass. for at least 5 years. 

Closson-Raught American Legion Post 1160 Scholarship 
For Taconic Hills High School students whose family members are serving or have served honorably in the U.S. armed forces and residents of the Taconic Hills Central School District (Copake, Hillsdale, Village of Philmont, and the Towns of Ancram, Austerlitz, Claverack, Gallatin, Ghent, Livingston, Northeast, and Taghkanic) who are veterans honorably discharged from the armed forces 

Foist Family Perseverance Scholarship 
For adult learners and graduating high school seniors from Berkshire County high schools who are residents of Berkshire County pursuing a career in health care. 

Jacques Parker and Marie Deguard Arts Scholarship
For graduating high school seniors and young adults residing in the Berkshire Taconic region in the pursuit of higher education and/or careers in the visual arts or architecture 

John & Elizabeth Laurent Family Scholarship 
For first generation students with significant financial need who have been residents of Pittsfield, Mass., for a minimum of 3 years prior to application and received a GED (i.e., High School Equivalency credential) or have graduated from Pittsfield High School. Preference is given to students interested in vocational (or other non-traditional) degrees in the trades, technical fields, or getting a certificate from a professional training program that will assist them in advancing their work in the field of their choice. 

New World Fund Scholarship
The scholarship offers support to new immigrants who have been in the United States for five years or less and are studying toward a degree at Berkshire Community College. Apply through the BCC Foundation. The application opens in early February and the deadline to apply is in early March. Please refer to BCC’s Scholarships page for the exact dates.

Quailwood Scholarship
For residents of Red Rock, N.Y. who have been full time residents for most of the two years prior to applying and have been accepted at a college or professional program. Prior Quailwood Scholarship recipients can also apply.

Rhoda Rubin Memorial Nursing Scholarship 
For Berkshire County residents of at least five years who have been accepted into the nursing program at Berkshire Community College (BCC) having met all registration requirements and prerequisites. Preference will be given to single parents. Apply through the BCC Foundation. The application opens in early February and the deadline to apply is in early March. Please refer to BCC’s Scholarships page for the exact dates.  

Robert Annelli Family Scholarship 
For residents of New Marlborough, Monterey, Otis, Sheffield, or Sandisfield, MA, for at least one year who are pursuing a technical or vocational degree or certificate. 

Sweet Brook Scholarship
To support residents of Northern Berkshire County to further their health care education/qualifications. Preference will be given to adults currently working in a health care field, but if no such applicants come forward in a given year, scholarship assistance may be given to high school seniors going to school for studies in a health-related field. 

Tabor Foundation Fund Scholarship* 
For residents of northwest Litchfield County, Conn., northeast Dutchess County, N.Y., or southeast Columbia County, N.Y., who plan to undertake education or training in a health care or medical field and seek employment in their community. Non-residents working in the area may also apply. The application for this scholarship opens on May 1 and must be submitted by June 15. To apply for this scholarship, log in to the scholarship portal and select “Tabor Foundation Health Care Scholarship.” 

William J. Newton Memorial Scholarship 
For residents of Berkshire County enrolled or planning to enroll in a two year program at a community college or a technology curriculum in a community college, technical, vocational, or trade school. 

Winthrop Crane Scholarship Fund for Graduate Studies* 
For graduates of Wahconah Regional High School or a vocational-technical program of a public high school (who at the time of graduation were residents of Central Berkshire Regional School District), and who are pursuing graduate studies. 

*These scholarships are available only to adults and non-traditional learners, not to current high school students. 

Apply for a Scholarship
